MICHELIN 2025

MICHELIN Guide 2025

We’re incredibly proud to share that La Palombe, our new restaurant in Kensington, has been recognised as a new entry in the 2025 Michelin Guide. This honour means the world to our small team – from the chefs in the kitchen to the farmers, foragers, and suppliers who bring us the most exceptional British produce each season.

New restaurant in Kensington: La Palombe

La Palombe in Kensington is the new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini and chef patron Jake Leach. Jake was previously head chef at the three-Michelin-starred The Ledbury, which was recently voted the best restaurant in the UK. James, on the other hand, owns Il Portico, the oldest family-run restaurant in London. Together, James and Jake created La Palombe with a simple but powerful idea: to match Michelin-level cooking with the warmth and friendliness of a local family-run brasserie. Our Approach to Ingredients and Sustainability

At La Palombe, we focus on dishes that reflect both sustainability and provenance. In fact, much of our wild food is foraged in-house by James himself. For example, you can expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (sourced with the help of our truffle dog, Alba), and rare woodland mushrooms. Additionally, we grow a wide variety of produce on our smallholding in Kent. There, we raise all livestock to organic standards. Not only that, but we also collaborate with local farms and trusted suppliers to ensure quality and traceability across our menu. Furthermore, our menu changes with the seasons. This allows us to highlight fresh, available ingredients and support sustainable farming practices. As a result, each dish tells a story of place, care, and tradition.

The Experience at La Palombe

Our goal is to provide the quality of a Michelin restaurant in Kensington—without the Michelin price tag. Moreover, we strive to make every dining experience feel memorable, personal, and relaxed. A large wood-burning grill takes centre stage in the kitchen. Here, most of our dishes are cooked over live embers, giving them a distinct flavour and character. In addition, our wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers. It is carefully curated and regularly updated to include wines that are natural, low-intervention, and biodynamic. Therefore, each bottle we serve complements the food with thoughtful precision. Meanwhile, our team focuses on genuine hospitality. We want every guest to feel welcome, whether you’re joining us for a casual weekday meal or a special occasion.

In the Heart of Kensington

La Palombe is centrally located on Kensington High Street. As a result, we are an ideal stop before or after exploring some of the area’s iconic attractions. For instance, many guests visit us after spending time at the Design Museum or taking a stroll through Holland Park. Furthermore, we are only a ten-minute walk from Kensington Olympia and just a short distance from the Royal Albert Hall. Whether you’re coming in after a gallery visit, before a concert, or simply looking for great food in Kensington, we look forward to welcoming you.
